Over 40 Years of Brilliance

Company Timeline

 

1958

Crystorama is founded by Abe Kleinberg as a lighting wholesaler offering bronze chandeliers imported from Europe.

 

1979

Lighting Center by Cameo opens as the Retail Division and Joan Kleinberg appointed President. The primary product lines are moderately priced decorative chandeliers and portable lamps.

 

1988

Brian Kleinberg, current
President, joins the company.

 

1995

Large expansion of product offerings and increasing focus on home furnishings and home accessories. Company name change to better reflect direction & products.

 

1999

Elements focus on education begins - teaching Lighting Design classes at Nassau Community College helps nurture talent in young students and help them understand the practical and aesthetic nature of design.

 

2003

Elements - Distinctive Lighting & Home Furnishings is born, our unique collections of lighting and home furnishings differentiate us from the big box centers and further our commitment to the home furnishing and accessories market.

 

2005

Elements begins teaching classes at CW Post - Long Island University

 

2006

Winner of the 17th Annual ARTS Award for Lighting Showroom of the year.

 

2007

ABC Extreme Makeover - Home Edition, The Vitale Family is given a complete Home Makeover and Elements is there to supply the lighting and home furnishings.

 

2009

Elements introduces its first catalog and website designed exclusively for the Trade Professional with National Sales Distribution.

 

2010

Elements begins teaching classes at Metropolitan Institute of Design

 

2011

Segment done for nationally syndicated design show.

 

2012

Elements Winner of 23rd Annual ARTS Award for Lighting Showroom of the Year

 

2013

Elements filmed a segment for TLC's nationally syndicated show, Long Island Medium, starring Theresa Caputo.
